No plans to go away this bank holiday? No problem – summer 2020 is shaping up as the season of the staycation. Here’s our guide to making the most of holidaying at home.

Food

One of the highlights of a summer holiday is plenty of time for leisurely lunches and evening cocktails. We can’t wait to recreate the flavours of a gorgeous Greek taverna or an Italian trattoria in the comfort of home with these brilliant sources of inspiration…

Jamie Oliver’s first love is Italian cooking, having learnt the trade at the River Café and through his friend and mentor Gennaro Contaldo – so it’s no surprise that he has over 250 Italian recipes on his website. We can almost feel the baking Tuscan sun by just reading about his easy courgette carbonara, or the beautiful summer fish stew, and this fabulous snack of pea, mint and basil arancini cakes.

If you’re missing Kefalonia or Crete, we recommend a browse through Olive Magazine’s ‘Best Ever Greek Recipes’ – you’ll be transported to the Aegean Sea with a taste of this spanakopitalamb-stuffed courgettes, or these cheeky loukoumades (Greek donuts).

Drinks

Is it Pimm’s o’clock? Sundowner cocktail hour? Or simply a booze-free cooler you need?

We like these refreshing (boozy and alcohol-free) recommendations on Good Housekeeping’s list of 25+ summer cocktails to enjoy in the sun. BBC Good Food has a great list of non-alcoholic spritzers, juices and punches. Or take inspiration from the Independent’s selection of the best low and alcohol-free drinks to keep you cool.

What to wear

In the heat of your own back garden you’re free to strip down to your underwear if you wish! Our brand new bra styles are too pretty to hide under clothing (you could say it’s practically the same as donning a bikini, but with extra comfort and support!).

Go for the bold new zigzag lace design of Zahra, available in a matching bra and brief set, for maximum impact.
