Best of the best: Our designers’ top bra picks

At Royce Lingerie, we’re very proud of our design team. What they don’t know about patterns, cutting and fabric isn’t worth knowing. This remarkable team of three talented women are dedicated to creating brilliant bras from concept to sample making, through testing and tweaking, to the final product which could just be your new favourite bra.

You may have your favourite, but what are the favourite bras of our design team? In a move that’s akin to asking, ‘who is your favourite child?’ we forced our designers to pick their favourite Royce bras (sorry, ladies!) and tell us why they love them so much. Here are those top choices from the creators themselves…
Comfi-Bra Bush
Our newest bra is already a firm favourite of design manager Gemma. She explains,
“What I love about the new Comfi-Bra Blush is that it really does live up to its name – it’s one of the comfiest bras you’ll wear. The design features, such as the front-fastening popper and pockets, were created with post-surgery women in mind. But all of the comfort features, including the padded straps, dual-cup sizing and smooth back, make this a wonderful everyday bra for any woman. The pale pink ‘blush’ shade means you can wear it under light-coloured clothing with no ‘show through’. I’m also really pleased that we were able to select organic cotton for the pockets.”

Blossom (support and maternity)
Designer Demi is a big fan of Blossom, the innovative bra that can be worn two ways: as a crop top or gathered into a plunge neck. Blossom is available as both a maternity/nursing bra and as a post-surgery or everyday bra. Blossom comes in a classic black/white polka dot across the ranges, and in a pastel ‘Geo’ pattern in the maternity range.
Demi explains, “I always recommend the brilliant Blossom for nursing mums as the triple cup adjustable sizing means you can maintain a great fit even allowing for the difference in breast size before and after feeding. This feature also makes it a great choice for women who are in-between sizes or who find their breast size tends to fluctuate.”
Fearne
Another new addition to the Royce bra family, Fearne first went on sale in November 2021 but is already a top pick of both Demi and Amymay. ‘Pebble’ grey Fearne is an ultra-comfortable bra designed for post-surgery and everyday wear.
Amymay says, “It’s great that we were able to incorporate a high percentage of organic cotton into the design, meaning Fearne qualifies as part of our sustainable range. The organic cotton is super soft which offers comfort and breathability. We carefully considered design features that would suit women with restricted mobility, whether post-surgery or everyday.”
Demi adds, “I absolutely love the shape, style and fit of this bra – it’s very modern and provides great lift and support. The zip front-fastening was designed especially for women who find it hard to do up regular back-fastening bras. The smooth adjustable straps and pocketed cotton lining are extra touches for exceptional comfort.”
Aerocool
Launched at the beginning of 2021, the Aerocool sports bra is a real game-changer. Since its launch it’s been winning rave reviews in the media and on Instagram – it’s no surprise that this is one of design manager Gemma’s favourite Royce bras. She says,
“We’re so proud of Aerocool. We’ve created the UK’s first wirefree, high-impact sports bra for G-K cups which means that larger-cup ladies can choose a super stylish bra that will give them exceptional support and comfort, however vigorous their workouts. It’s been praised for its style – I love the ‘blackberry’ purple colourway and racer-back option – and, most importantly, its performance. The wickable fabric also keeps you cool when you ramp up the cardio!”
