It’s our birthday! We look back on 35 years in bras

To celebrate our 35th anniversary, we reveal a special new addition to the Royce range
How time flies. What started out from a kitchen table in Oxfordshire in 1991, has now grown into a global business with bras sold in over 600 stores around the world. After 35 years of making wirefree bras we’re so proud to know that literally hundreds of thousands of women wear Royce bras every day.
So, what’s been happening at Royce HQ over the past three and a half decades? Well, we’ve been beavering away creating some of the most comfortable wirefree bras around, for every woman at any stage of life. Maternity and nursing bras were the speciality in the early days, before we expanded into comfort and post-surgery bras soon after; followed by sports bras, fuller cup bras and teen bras over the following 15 years. But there have been some standout styles since 1991…
Customer favourite Maisie was launched back in 2014, and is still going strong with its expanded colour range; and top-seller Charlotte has been bought again and again by loyal customers since 2008. Eden, launched in 2020, was our first ever organic cotton bra, paving the way for other sustainable designs such as our ultimate sleep bra for fuller cups Mia. The sports bra range arrived in 2004, but it wasn’t until 2020 that we launched Aerocool, the first ever wirefree high-impact sports bra for G to K cups, which has been winning rave reviews everywhere.
And now in 2026, it may be our birthday but we’ve got a little gift for you…say hello to our brand new addition, Anya! This special lingerie set, a bra with matching briefs (which can be bought separately), joins our Comfort & Post Surgery range and is available to buy now. Anya comes in a blush and coral colourway inspired by our 35th birthday (if you don’t know, coral often associated with 35th anniversaries).
Designed to combine the expert fit and comfort Royce is known for with a fresh, feminine look, Anya is available in two size ranges (A–E and F–H cup) with matching high-waisted briefs. Both bras feature discreet pockets, making them suitable for women following breast surgery, while remaining a beautiful everyday wirefree choice for all.
Louise Dunn, our acting commercial director at Royce, can assure you that we’re not slowing down after 35 years: “We’re still creating comfortable wirefree lingerie that supports women wherever they are in life, just as Royce set out to do in 1991. We can only do this successfully by always listening to our customers, women like you, and collaborating with experts in areas such as breast cancer care and maternity. This 35-year conversation is still going strong!”
And this is crucial. We’ve been listening to you, our fantastic customers, for 35 years, and its this wealth of feedback that stops us getting stuck in a rut, and evolve instead. Because even though we’ve launched many new styles over the decades, we’re regularly updating and refining our customer favourites based on what you need. Thanks to you, best-sellers such as Comfi-Bra, Georgia and Grace have been redesigned in recent years and are now better than ever.
